Ryan Swan is a Gerda Henkel Doctoral Scholar in the Special Programme for Security, Society and the State. His doctoral research at the University of Bonn focuses on the strategic effects of emerging military technologies on deterrence dynamics. He holds an M.Phil. in International Relations and Politics from Trinity Hall, Cambridge and a J.D. from the UCLA School of Law.
